The following walks start at the Tualatin Fred Meyer, 19200 SW Martinazzi, Tualatin.  Fred Meyer is open daily from 7AM to 11PM (please walk in daylight hours only).  The start box is a two drawer file located just past the grocery entrance, on the right in the pharmacy area.

Take Exit 289 to Sherwood-Tualatin Rd. and go West  to Fred's

Browns Ferry Park   YR798 - 11K - rated 2+. 
Discover a new greenway trail along the Tualatin River that travels into Browns Ferry Park. Continue from the park into nice Tualatin neighborhoods and onto pathways through Atfalati Park for the return. 
WOC: Waterways, Water Holes, & Counties (Washington). 
NATIONAL:  River Walk America  (Tualatin River);  Native American Culture (Tualatin/Atfalati Indians) and Authors.

Hedges Creek Wetlands  YR1431 - 10K - rated 1. 
Walk through neighborhoods, pass a golf course, walk through Winona cemetery, pass three of the oldest  remaining homes of the original city of Tualatin and back to Heritage House (a Pioneer Church).  Enjoy some recently completed wetlands trails through Hedges Creek Wetlands.  
WOC:  Water Holes, Waterways, Golf Courses, Counties (Washington) and Pioneer Churches. 
NATIONAL: Railroad Heritage, Native American Culture, and Authors


The following walk starts at the Tualatin REI,  7410 SW Bridgeport Rd., Tigard, OR. REI is open 7 days a week at 10 AM. Mon-Sat - open until 9 PM & Sun - open until 6 PM (please walk in daylight hours only).  Ask at the customer service desk for the start box.  (For holiday hours, please call Tualatin REI at 503-624-8600.)

3 Cities 3 Parks  - YR 1864 - 10K - rated 1+ 
The trail will take you into Tualatin Park in Tualatin, onto a new footbridge over the Tualatin River and into Cook Park in Tigard.  From there you cross under a railroad trestle and go into Durham City Park in Durham. This walk is mostly on park trails and after you commune with nature you can indulge your consumer instincts at Bridgeport Village and Whole Foods. The best of two worlds!  
WOC:  Waterways, Water Holes, Water Treatment Plants, 4F’s-(Forests & Flowers), Namesakes, Golf Courses, & Counties. 
NATIONAL: Native American Culture (Tualatin/Atfalati Indians); Railroad Heritage (Portland & Western Rairoad - PNWR); River Walk America (crosses Tualatin River);  Authors & Literary Landmarks.

Come join us and enjoy the following walks which start at the Tigard Towne Square Albertsons, 16200 Pacific Hwy. (99W), Tigard OR.  Albertsons is open 7 days a week 6AM to midnight (please walk in daylight hours only).  Check for holiday hours.  Start box is located behind the customer service desk, ask the clerk.

Cook Park - YRE 534 - 10k rated 1
Cook Park - This route is a new version of an old favorite. The trail consists of sidewalks, asphalt trails, and a short distance of barkdust trail. Enjoy walking into and through Cook Park and passing a wetlands as you exit the park. The trail travels through some quiet residential areas and over a new footbridge over a small gully/wetlands. Women may feel more comfortable walking with a partner due to about 1K of isolated trails. WOC - Auditoriums, Libraries, Waterways, Watering Holes, Water Treatment Plants, Flowers & Washington County. National Programs: America's Gardens (Tupeling Butterfly Garden), Artistic Heritage, Riveerwalk America (Tualatin River).

Summerfield - YR542 - 10K - rated 1 
Summerfield Walk - This is a new route past the Summerfield Golf Course and through quiet neighborhoods. The trail consists mostly of sidewalks with a few streets, and an occasional walkway. Walkers will also enjoy a beautiful view of the valley without having to climb a hill to see it

SHERWOOD
Sherwood - YR1723 - 10K - rated 1+  
Located on the corner of 99W and Sunset Rd.

This new walk starts at the Sherwood Family YMCA, 23000 SW Pacific Hwy. (99W), Sherwood, OR.  The YMCA is open M-F 5AM to 10PM; Saturday 8AM to 7PM, and Sunday 9AM to 5PM (please walk in daylight hours only). The box is located  behind the front desk. 
This is a new walk that starts from the YMCA and walks down Old Route 99 to the Pioneer Cemetery and a beautiful natural path behind the cemetery.  Then you continue walking along country roads even coming accross some llamas and sheep.  As you continue back to the YMCA you can stop there and end your walk at 5k or continue on the nature path that goes behind the Woodhaven Development.  As it winds in and out, eventually you will enter the downtown area where you will visit many of the little shops and coffee areas plus an historic church.

Sherwood  YR1723 – 10K rated 2+ and 5K rated 1+ 
A NEW WALK for 2008.  Walk through some nice neighborhoods and onto many of the greenway  trails in the Woodhaven area; explore the NEW Old Town Sherwood and check out some of it’s history; then venture uphill to walk through Snyder Park where you can take time to relax and enjoy some beautiful views of Sherwood and surrounding areas.   
WOC:  WaterTowers; Water Holes; Namesakes; Counties (Washington).  
NATIONAL:  Railroads; Native American Culture; Authors
5K option rated 1+ will take you through some great neighborhoods and onto greenway trails in the Woodhaven area.
WOC:  Namesakes and Counties (Washington).
Walk either route for 5K or 10K or walk both for 15K.
