When that slow 5k group gets together it becomes much more than just a walking group, it becomes larger, with a mind of it's own. We try to follow the plan, or the directions, and then ... Well this time we heard a call from Famous Dave's "There is a birthday sundae waiting for you..." and we had to go and help Rita eat it. We have no willpower. We tried to resist, but in the end, we just sub-combed. We didn't want to, but we couldn't help it.
What a wonderful walk through the wetlands, Jurgens park, the cemetery, which we all got to stop and find Boone's marker's...,the beautiful older homes of Tualatin and then to finish it off with a stroll around the Commons to the finish. Sandra Reid did an excellent job with a quick pace in, around and through the trails. A very "Special Thank You to Sandra"!!! The weather cooperated with us today for a beautiful walking adventure in Tualatin. This is a Year Round that has something of offer to each walker...it's a walk to enjoy more than once. --Starr
