Today there were 34 walkers that braved the chilly January day, for the Heights Neighbourhood Walk in Vancouver. It started at Starbucks; quite a few walkers got a coffee and used it for hand warmers for the walk .. I mean to drink. Regardless if we were at Oregon or Pasedena/California it was a was a very dense foggy day. The 10km walkers did not walk excessively fast, and did really good at keeping together (thanks to the weather); but it did make the views of the Columbia River "not" available. Which also may have created a scary site while we did appear "out of nowhere" to the individuals that were out walking their dogs. There were parks, schools, and even a cemetary (that had a star above a tree, baby christmas trees, ponsettas, candy canes and wreaths). It was a really nice walk, and great to catch up with all the details of everyone's 2011 and plans for 2012. --Angela
