Saturday at the Gorge with Starr 06/20/2010
Today I tagged along with Fred & Sharon Fisher, from Anacortes to sweep the Starvation Creek Trail. Lots of interesting history on this 10 K. mixed in with more beautiful waterfalls & scenery. There was an old oven used by the Chinese laborers, to bake their bread, that worked on the Columbia River Hwy, then came a GIANT ant hills full of thousands or ants...made you wiggle just watching them! We meet up with some walkers who were still enjoying the walks & taking their time. We entered a camp ground & made our way down to the Columbia to catch a glimpse of some wind surfers. It was a nice way to end a wonderful exploreation & adventure of the Columbia River Gorge! A "BIG" Thank You to everyone who helped the Columbia River Volksport Club make this event as spectacular as the scenery. Comments Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
