The Pictures are in! 03/27/2010
The weather sure did cooperate and we sure had a blast out there today. I don't think we've ever seen downtown Sherwood hopping as much as it was today, even the Easter Bunny made her entrance. You could hardly find a seat at Fat Milo's, coffee shop was full, and the rest of the places were packed. Some merchants ran out of eggs, but we had enough wine glasses so everyone received something. The kids were really surprised to get ice cream cones, I just wish I had a picture of them opening up their egg. We had 303 participants and over a 160 credit walkers. We sold a few New Walker packets and that's always a great sign. Thanks to all of you for coming and making it a success. Again I want to thank all of the Merrywalkers in putting this together. I think all of us were able to see parts of Sherwood that we've never seen before and the merchants were so happy to be apart of it. Hopefully we can call this "THE GREAT EASTER EGG HUNT OF 2010" and next year we will have the 2011! See you on the trails! CommentsCandice 03/27/2010 20:26

What a beautiful day for a walk and to hunt Easter eggs in the different businesses in quaint downtown Sherwood. I got a pretty carnation, Joe got a wine glass and a free donut. We met up with alot of people we know. What a great time and thank you to the Sherwood Merrywalkers and volunteers for putting this all together.

I really liked the walk. Trail well marked and good map and instructions. But the biggest part was the involvement of the town and all the stores that participated. Hope the turnout was great. I know it was as it was over 220 when I left.

The Wilsonville Walkers really enjoyed the Easter Egg walk. It was evident all the Merrywalkers did a great job. Very well organized. Prizes were a big hit.

What better way to spend my Sunday afternoon but to reminisce and watch slide show..thanks to whichever one of you is responsible. I am amazed at all the work that went in to the preparations...I think Mary Ann and all her creative ideas and shopping for those cute bunnie markers, stuffing all the eggs, egg posters in shop windows, it was just incredible.

Mary Ann definitely does have very creative ideas, but Starr came up with the Bunny markers and Sharon Klein and her husband made all of those signs using coat hangers and cardboard. It is definitely the easiest way to mark a trail.

I and my three walking buddies had a wonderful time. The prizes were a big hit and the trail was easy to follow (this is important for me because I tend to talk the whole time, as you know). The bunny rabbit was such a fun surprise! An "Atta person" to each and every one of you.

A great walk, Jane and MaryAnn and a great way to involve the community. Lots of positive comments as people came in to have their books stamped after they'd walked.
