Sometimes we just never know why somethings happen.  All of a sudden you see that walker at a few walks, then a few more and in that brief second, you wonder, where are they?
Noreen Kirk introduced Bob to volkswalking last year and he loved it. He enjoyed just being around all of the other walkers and also making a few special friends as well. Starr became one of those special friends, with Noreen, and did a lot of the walks with them.  The rest of us may remember him being that guy who never wore any socks, no matter how cold, wet or snowy it got.

Bob passed away over the weekend.  There will be no service.

I did not have the pleasure of meeting Bob, but the pictures say it all! Especially the one where he is petting the cat.
Some of you folks apparently had the honor of sharing good times with him, and enriching his life, in what turned out to be his important last days. Keep up the good work! Isn't that what life is all about? We never really know how we touch the lives of people!

My heart is very sad at the loss of a fellow walker. Robert always had a smile on his face and enjoyed walking. I will truly miss his friendship and companionship. I will remember him as barefoot and ready to go. I pray that he will find peace and comfort in God's arms.
I'll miss him very much.
