Parrett Mountain 09/20/2009
It was a great walk and a special thanks goes out to all those who helped worked on it. We had wonderful comments about the trails, markings, dots, views and of course there was those great stories! What a week. Now we can take a deep breadth and get ready for the Christmas Walk in Lake Oswego. Thanks to everyone who came and made it a success. Enjoy the pictures. Loved the artwork on Parrett Mtn. We are at the entrance to Rocky Mtn Ntl Park . It snowed last night and dropped temp 30 degrees. We are hoping to get in a bit of a hike or two. before the next storm.

A special thanks to all the Merrywalkers who worked hard to make the Parrett Mountain walk so enjoyable. The weather on Sunday was perfect, so I summoned up the courage to try the 11k. It was fantastic! I was a bit worried that I might get lost in the wilderness, since I was walking alone. But, the directions were easy to follow – and the trail marking was worth all the time and effort that was put into it. I really didn’t even need the directions, but it was reassuring to check them from time to time and find out I was still going the right way. The little dots with the numbers were a brilliant idea. At no time did I feel lost – and that’s a miracle for me!

Thank you for a first rate experience. We walked on Saturday morning and enjoyed every step. The course was beautiful and well marked. The art show was impressive. We feel the Merrywalkers should be proud of themselves for doing a thoroughly professional job. We had a blast and are hoping you will arrange this walk next year.
