SNAILS UPDATE: 02/23/2009

Julie, one of our "snails" was able to get Clyde Banjo from the Sherwood History Team, to give us a one hour tour of downtown Sherwood.  It was so informative and it seemd like he had only begun before it was over.  He said he would definitely come back for another stint.  Check out our pictures under the pictures tab.

After, we had a short walk around the downtown area with our two groups, the snails and then the faster snails.  Since we had the tour, we had a limited walk.  After we all had coffee and lunch at the Sherwood Coffee Shop.

Next week is our meeting, but we will still have our Snails Walk on Monday morning with our pre-meeting walk at 7 p.m.  Remember, Marti will be speaking on stretching before and after walks and nutrition.

We all had a great time with the Snails on Monday. Even the rain gave us a break. We learned a lot about the history of Sherwood and also had a bit of a walk and a bit of food and friendship.
