This walks starts at Starbucks, can't get much better on a windy and cold day in December...  We all gathered and greeted everyone, took the group picture and we were off. Dick Baker lead the 10K walk and Joe Titone lead the 5K group.  There were 23 of us that enjoyed the 10K walk and about 10 that enjoyed lunch after the walk.  This is a special part of the city that has something to offer each person. A busy time of year to enjoy window shopping, people watching or all the extra activities going on. We walked down Hawthorne, through neighborhoods and back around past Tom and Jerry's ice cream...hum maybe a stop to remember for this summer.

12-12-12  A special day for a walk along the beautiful Willamette River.
We had a large group that showed up today. Dick lead the 10K walkers on an out and back.  We enjoyed all the holiday decorations in the neighborhood with oooh's and ahhh's! On the way back the clouds started breaking up and the view of the river was breath taking.

Today felt more like a summer day than the first Wednesday walk in December!    We were greeted at the start point by Andrea and Mary~Ann. The walkers just kept arriving and pretty soon we had to move  outside there were so many of us. Dick lead the 10K group and when he did a head count he said there were 30. It was a beautiful sunny day and a wonderful way to share an outdoor activity. The walk went through some beautiful neighborhoods with some cute, whimsical and religious decorations for us to enjoy. The blue skies and sunshine had us all peeling off our outer layers and soaking in all the vitamin D. It was another good day!
