Our first meeting in 2009 at 7:30.  I will try and make it there by 7 p.m. so we can have a short 1/2 walk ahead of the meeting.  We hopefully will get some good ideas for speakers and possibly we can have one for our next meeting.

Have a great New Year's Eve and there is a walk New Year's Day in Vancouver that takes you right through Officer's Row, one of my favorite walks.

We are doing the Wednesday walk this week which will be meeting at the Red LIon at Jantzen Beach.  From what I understand, there should be prizes and different fun things, so I heard, we should try and make it there by 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 9:30.  Let's not miss out on the fun.  Right now I have 3 people in my car, so if someone wants to go, contact me by e-mail or phone and we will try and carpool.  See you Wednesday!

We are having our club Christmas Lights in Woodhaven on Tuesday, December 16th at 6 p.m. We will meet at LouAnn's house which is the house directly across the street from the Y, 18208 Woodhaven Drive. We will plan a slow walk, between 30 and 45 minutes to look at some of the lights. After, we will celebrate at her house with a glass of wine or coffee. If anyone would like to share some Christmas cookies, please bring them along. I look forward to seeing all of you.

Christmas Boat Walk: Saturday, December 20th. We will meet at the Y at 4:30 to head to Portland for the Boat Walk. There will be a 5k option for those of you who can't do a 10k. After we will meet back at the Buffalo Exchange for a brew and food. Again, I look forward to seeing all of you there.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON ATTENDING EITHER ONE OF THESE EVENTS: we would appreciate a heads up on who might be coming so we can figure out how much wine for Tuesday night and how many cars for Saturday night.

i thought it would be nice if we took a 45 minute walk through Woodhaven to check out the lights.  I thought maybe the 15th or 16th and then we could stop by my house for hot chocolate, or better yet, a glass of wine.

I'll also be going to the boat walk Dec. 20th and I'd like to know if anyone else would like to carpool downtown.  If you are only able to do a 5k, the start point has good food and you can wait back there until the rest of us are done with the walk.  Please e-mail me if you might be interested in doing either walks.
